Jennifer Marden, a business education/information technology teacher at Loudoun County High School, has been named the recipient of the 2022 Virginia Cybersecurity Educator Award in Secondary Education.
She will be formally honored on July 20 at the 2022 Virginia Cybersecurity Education Conference at Old Dominion University in Norfolk.
Prior to teaching, Marden was information technology (IT) systems engineer, consultant, developer, manager and director for various consulting and telecommunications companies in Northern Virginia, Kansas, and abroad (Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Chile, and Canada). After 17 years in IT, she switched careers from doing business to teaching business.
Marden teaches Introduction to Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Operations, Application Development, and Personal Finance classes. She has taught 11 years for Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS).
