School-Business Partnership Opens Award Nominations


The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) School-Business Partnership Council seeks nominations for its 2022 School-Business Partnership Awards. Award nominations are due by 
Friday, December 17. The Council is especially interested in honoring those businesses who persevered in their partnerships throughout the pandemic.

The awards will be presented at the annual School-Business Partnership Breakfast on March 4 at the National Conference Center. The Breakfast is returning after a hiatus due to the pandemic and will have a theme of “Building Community Partnerships to Accelerate Student Learning.”

Community members may nominate businesses or organizations for two awards:

Make a Difference Award

Nominees must be individuals or organizations that have formed a notable partnership with Loudoun County Public Schools. The partnership must serve to enhance and enrich the school system for the ultimate benefit of the students. 

 

Nominees must be a group or individual who:

* Addresses a specific need, providing resource(s) for a needed population within a school.

* Contributes positively to the lives of LCPS students.

* Highlights Profile of a Graduate 5C: Contributor--someone who engages in work to impact the community by building awareness, utilizing resources and/or developing solutions to authentic, challenging problems.

 

J. Hamilton Lambert Exemplary Leadership in Education and Community Service Award

Nominees must be individuals that have formed a notable partnership with Loudoun County Public Schools. The partnership must serve to enhance and enrich the school system for the ultimate benefit of the students. 

 

Nominees must be individuals who:

* Demonstrate leadership within the community.

* Demonstrate and encourage creativity and innovation.

* Foster cooperation between the school and the community.

* Dedicate themselves to demonstrated community service efforts and a willingness to help others.

* Keep abreast of developments in the field of education.

* Demonstrate leadership and exemplify commitment.

* Highlights Profile of a Graduate 5C: Collaboration--someone who works with and learn from others to interdependently solve problems, achieve goals, and complete tasks while showing respect for diverse perspectives, remaining open to ideas and learning to compromise.

* Highlights Profile of a Graduate 5C: Contributor---someone who engages in work to impact the community by building awareness, utilizing resources and/or developing solutions to authentic, challenging problems.
