Thirteen residents of the Leesburg District – René Camp, Dr. Todd Cimino-Johnson, Rebecca Clark, Stephen Cypher, Colin Doniger, Andrew Fernandes, Andy Jabbour, Tom Marshall, Erika Ogedegbe, Michael Rivera, Julia Sisson, Dr. Francis Spampinato and Lauren Shernoff – have applied to be interviewed for the vacant seat representing that district on the Loudoun County School Board.
The School Board will hold a public hearing to consider candidates for the Leesburg District seat at 5 p.m. on Monday, December 6, in the School Board Meeting Room, Loudoun County Public Schools Administrative Offices, 21000 Education Court, Ashburn.
This School Board seat has been vacant since the resignation of Beth Barts on November 2.
The School Board also will hear public comments regarding this vacancy during the December 6 meeting.
The person selected by the board to fill this vacancy will be announced at the December 14 School Board meeting and will be the Leesburg District representative through December 31, 2022.
The deadline for those wishing to be considered as a candidate for this seat was noon Wednesday, November 17.
