LCPS Choral, Guitar, Jazz Musicians and Teachers Honored at VMEA Conference


Fifty-six 
musicians from Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) will participate in the 2021 Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA) State Conference in Norfolk November 16-20, 2021. 

 

Thirty-six LCPS students will perform in the 2021 All-Virginia Guitar Ensemble.  This auditioned group will be conducted by Dr. Martha Masters. The overall chairman of the event is Dr. Kevin Vigil, guitar director at Heritage High School.  Dr. Matthew Dunlap, guitar director at Stone Bridge High Middle School and Rock Ridge  High School, will be a featured performer at the event. The LCPS members of the All-Virginia Guitar Ensemble include:

Four LCPS students qualified for the 2021 All-Virginia Jazz Ensembles. Students were selected by audition from the entire state for participation in two ensembles consisting of 24 students each.

Sixteen senior choral students will perform in the 
2021 Senior Honors Choir, under the direction of Dr. Andrea Ramsey. These students were selected by audition out of over 700 high school seniors from throughout Virginia. The LCPS members of the Virginia Senior Honors Choir include:
