LCPS Reminds Parents About Attendance Policy

Starting a new school year means establishing new routines and good habits that support student success.

The Department of Pupil Services wants to remind families about updated LCPS attendance expectations that will be effective for the 2019-2020 academic year.  A letter from Dr. Asia Jones, Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Services  has been emailed to all Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) families.  Dr. Jones’ letter highlights the processes families should use to report a student absence from school and provides an overview of the Virginia Department of Education’s (VDOE) requirements for all school systems regarding excessive absences.

Thank you for reviewing this important message from LCPS.  You may read the letter in English or en Espanol using the links provided.
