“Hello everyone! My name is Ms. Reyes and I’m looking forward to being your teacher this year. I grew up in Rochester, New York, right near the Canadian border and I have a six-year-old son named Marley.” I really enjoy teaching because it gives me the chance to make a difference in someone’s life, especially teaching English Learners. My father came to this country when he was 14 years old, so I feel like I have a real connection to what my students and their families go through when they come here. I love my students, and I love the opportunity to help them learn a new language, get through middle school and gain a foothold in a new culture.
