Welcome third graders!
I am very excited to begin my 10th year at Sugarland Elementary! This year has great opportunities to enhance the academics even further at Sugarland Elementary. I want students to come into school excited to learn, by creating a comfortable, respectful, encouraging environment. My goal is to inspire students, helping them to develop a hardworking attitude, good work ethic, and a confident mindset that allows them to know they are able to succeed in anything with hard work.
I grew up in Loudoun County, and went to college at the University of Bridgeport, in Bridgeport Connecticut. I double majored to earn my two degrees in Psychology and Human Services, and earned a Master's degree in Education K-6.
I also enjoy coaching gymnastics, working out, and spending time with my friends and family. I had the privilege of competing on the University of Bridgeport gymnastics team for four years where we took the national title my senior year. Though, teaching elementary school has always been my true desire, and I feel very fortunate to be teaching at Sugarland Elementary.
