    Welcome to Second Grade!

Hello and welcome! This is my 10th year teaching at Sugarland Elementary. I am so excited to welcome my new students to a fun year in second grade!

I received my B.A in English from George Mason University in 2009. I continued my studies at George Mason University and received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in 2011. I also have an endorsement to teach English Language Learners and I am a Teacher Consultant for the Shenandoah Valley Writing Project. In 2017 I earned my National Board Certification and am so proud of this honor.

I grew up in New York City but I have lived in Loudoun County for many years.  I am a Broad Run High School alumni. During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, embroidering a new design, practicing my calligraphy, or reading a good book. I look forward to working with you and your family!
