• Diane Dillow is proud to be a charter member of the Kenneth W. Culbert Elementary staff. She has taught for LCPS throughout her entire teaching career and is excited to meet her new SECOND GRADE students. She taught second grade for 14 years, third grade for 13 years, and SEARCH (Gifted Education for grades K-3) for 2 years. Second grade is her favorite grade level and she attended LCPS from grades 2-6! Her favorite teacher was her second grade teacher, and she was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with her former teacher again during her first 2 years of teaching.

Ms. Dillow loved that she had the opportunity to student teach students aged 5–7 in Nottingham, England. She graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She earned a Gifted Education Endorsement from UVA in 2006. Ms. Dillow provides an engaging, organized, and caring classroom environment. She encourages students as they develop academic and social skills to discover new interests, become lifelong learners, and meet new friends. Her “star” classroom theme was chosen because her students shine bright.

Ms. Dillow’s son and daughter are recent college graduates and have begun their full-time employment. Zach (26) lives and works in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Lindsey (24) lives and works in Holualoa, Hawaii. Ms. Dillow enjoys spending time with her large extended family and is fortunate to have them nearby. Her mom is 1 of 8 children and her dad is 1 of 7 children. She loves traveling, especially to the Eastern shore. She collects cookbooks, seashells, and shark's teeth. Ms. Dillow is proud to have rescued 11 dogs throughout her life. Gracie (2) is her current Black Lab rescue from Louisiana, and they enjoy going for walks in the Purcellville area.

It's going to be a GREAT year!
