• Ms. Erica Young



    Hello, my name is Erica Young and I have been teaching at Sugarland Elementary for over 10 years. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University.  I received my Masters Degree from George Mason University. 

    I have been teaching for over twenty years.  I have worked in grades 9th – 12th as well as elementary school. At the high school level I taught language arts, social sciences, math and science. I also coached cheerleading and sponsored the dance team.  At Sugarland Elementary I work with 2nd and 4th grade.

    I have four children, three boys and one girl.  They range in age from 15 to 25. My oldest son is in the army. My second oldest son is a Senior at George Mason University, majoring in  My Electrical Engineering. My Two younger children are in high school. My daughter is in 12th grade and is a part of the culinary arts program at the new Academies of Loudoun.My youngest son is in 10th grade at Loudoun Valley High School.  I also have 3 dogs, 2 cats, 3 koi and one bullfrog.  I love children and I love pets.  My house is always busy and  full of activity. 

    I am looking forward to another great year here at Sugarland.
