Welcome to Fourth Grade!!I am so excited to be starting another year in 4th grade here at Sugarland Elementary School! GO WILDCATS!! My name is Kacey Greenawalt and this is my 11th year at Sugarland Elementary. I have 6 years of experience in 3rd grade and now entering my fifth year teaching 4th grade.I grew up in Connecticut, just outside the capital, Hartford. After graduating high school, I went on to get a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of Pittsburgh (GO PANTHERS!). When I finished, I moved to Loudoun County and pursued my Master's degree. I attended Shenandoah University and received a Master's in Elementary Education preK-6. I have always known I've wanted to be a teacher and am so happy to bring my passion and enthusiasm for teaching to Sugarland!I am a HUGE sports fan. I have played soccer, basketball, and softball my entire life. I LOVE anything and everything that has to do with Pittsburgh sports and am a huge Penguins hockey fan! I still play softball on a co-ed team. I love to travel and have been to Spain, Mexico, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico. I live in Loudoun County with my dog Myles.I am looking forward to learning with your child! It is going to be a year full of watching them grow both socially and academically. We have a lot to learn in 4th grade and I am here to start the learning process but your child is here to take it to new lengths! :) This is going to be a great year!!!
