About Ms. JonesMs. Jones graduated from Shenandoah Conservatory at Shenandoah University, in Winchester, Virginia, where she obtained a Bachelor of Music Education degree with a Performance Certificate on flute and a minor in piano. She loves teaching and making music. It is her passion to teach students to read music and help every student reach their fullest musical potential in the classroom and on the stage.
She has been active in community music making for years, singing, directing church choirs, theater productions, playing piano and writing musicals for VSA of Loudoun and Run Rabbit Run Theatre's musical productions. Before working in Loudoun County, she taught elementary, middle and high school General Music, Choir and Band at several private schools in Maryland. Ms. Jones is honored to be the Music Director at Aldie United Methodist Church in Aldie, Virginia and the Assistant Musical Director for Run Rabbit Run Theatre in Leesburg, Virginia. This Summer, she worked with her writing partner, composing and finalizing the instrumental score for "Once Upon a Christmas Carol," which will be coming to the Franklin Park Performing Arts Center from November 30th to December 10th, 2018.
When Ms. Jones is not busy making or writing music, she enjoys spending time with her family and her pets, Gizmo & Maxwell. She also enjoys hiking, biking, reading, treasure hunting for antiques and swimming. She thought you might enjoy seeing her dog, Gizmo and her cat, Maxwell. Gizmo went on his first long road trip this Summer with Ms. Jones, her mother and her niece! Maxwell preferred staying at home with the house sitter and having the house to himself. He had a very strict nap schedule to keep!
