Welcome to the Technology DepartmentMission Statement:
In Loudoun County Schools, technology is integrated into content. Unlike "specials" such as music, physical education, and art, computer activities are intended to be integrated rather than function as a stand-alone discipline. Individual teachers are responsible for content integration and technology-rich lessons. The Instructional Facilitator, Technology (IFT) is available to work with teachers on lesson planning, delivery, and assessment utilizing educational technology to boost student engagement and deepen learning. The Digital Experience Specialist (DES) is available to help troubleshoot issues with hardware so students and staff have access to the tools they need to be successful.
As our society becomes ever dependent on technology, our goal is to model appropriate uses of technology to complete tasks across the curriculum in language arts, math, science, social studies and other disciplines. Throughout the school year, students will utilize a variety of software and hardware that allows them to create, collaborate, communicate, contribute, and think critically.
