    Welcome to the Modern Music Masters (Tri-M) Music Honor Society page.
    • The Tri-M® Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education(NAfME), which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy.
    • Tri-M is the only music honor society for junior/middle school and high school students in the country.
    • Tri-M recognizes students that have gone above and beyond both academically and musically.
    • Tri-M also provides students leadership opportunities to make a difference in their community through music-based service projects.
    • There are more than 2,100 chapters across 50 states and 15 countries.
    • Tri-M involves more than 84,000 students in grades 6-12.
    • Each year, student members contribute more than 750,000 service hours to their school and local communities and raise nearly $1 million for causes they care about.

    2019-2020 Tri- M Music Honor Society Calendar

    All meetings in the chorus room (403) at 4:15pm unless otherwise noted.  Meetings will be limited to 30 minutes.

    Attendance is required at all meetings.  If you miss more than one in a semester, you will be put on lapsed status.  See the by-laws for more information.

    • September 9th at 4:15 - Interest/Information Meeting (not required)
    • September 18th (Wednesday) - Application deadline. 

    For those in lapsed status for second semester, 2019, you will be notified of your status and told of the expectations for the first semester, 2019, in order to recover to full membership.

    •  October 2nd (Wednesday)– (7 to 8pm) – Induction Ceremony (in auditorium)  THIS IS REQUIRED. MISSING THIS CAN PRECLUDE YOUR MEMBERSHIP FOR 2019-2020.
    • October 21 - Meeting
    • November 25 - Meeting
    • January 15th (Wednesday) - (7 to 9pm) Tri-M Recital Night for Seniors. ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED.

      • Performers dress nicely
      • Open to the public
      • Validity of solo/duet to be determined by sponsor at the event.
    • January 16th - Deadline to 1) submit points for first semester 2) if necessary, submit proof of compliance to eliminate lapsed status.   Submit points to Mr. Wells.
    • January 27th - Meeting
    • February 24th - Meeting
    • March 31st (Tuesday) - Meeting
    • May 4th - EVENING (7 to 9pm) Tri-M Recital Night for Seniors. ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED.

    • May 18 - Meeting (Elections)
    • May 22 - Deadline to 1) submit points for second semester 2) if necessary, submit proof of compliance to eliminate lapsed status.  

    Other dates may be added as needed.  See your advisor for any concerns or conflicts.  Please know you only get one "free" absence per semester, regardless of reason.  Spend that freedome wisely.  You remain responsible to information missed.

    About our organization:

    This organization has been formed to provide recognition for outstanding PFHS music students as well as provide support for music within our school and in our community.

    The society is open to Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors.

    This honor society requires an "A" (95%) or better in music classes and a "B" (85%) or better in their overall grades.  Additionally members will be expected to provide service hours each semester and maintain their grades every semester.  Check out the by-laws (below) to understand the requirements.
