Mrs. Julie Huffman 

Mrs. Huffman is beginning her sixteenth year with Loudoun County Public Schools.  She previously taught first and second grades at Sugarland Elementary, Newton-Lee Elementary and Leesburg Elementary and is excited to join the Frederick Douglass staff as a Gifted Resource Teacher.  

Mrs. Huffman graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Anthropology and completed her teaching certification at James Madison University.  Mrs. Huffman is passionate about gifted education and looks forward to working with the students at FDES as they develop their interests, gifts and talents.  

Mrs. Huffman has three grown children and lives in Leesburg with her husband, two dogs and three beehives!  She is an avid reader and crossword puzzler, and enjoys thrifting, arranging flowers from her garden and spending time with her family.
