I am so excited to join the Champe Team! I began my teaching career 20 years ago in Frederick County, VA as a Social Studies teacher and Department Chair. I have a passion for learning and have studied at several local universities. I love History and graduated from Shepherd College with my Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Social Studies Education. After beginning my teaching career, I became fascinated with educational technology and earned my Masters of Science in Computers in Education from Shenandoah University. After teaching for a few more years, I felt ready to begin the journey of becoming a school administrator. I earned my Masters of Educational Leadership from George Mason University and transitioned from a classroom teacher to a Secondary Instructional Supervisor. I always had a personal goal to earn my doctorate and was able to do so four years ago. I graduated from Shenandoah University with my Doctorate in Organizational Leadership with a minor in American History. Three years ago I joined Loudoun County Public as an Assistant Principal at Trailside Middle School. As an administrator, I have been fortunate to be able to teach at Shenandoah University for the Career Switchers program. I believe teaching helps me stay connected to best practices and gives me the opportunity to teach people the way I hope they will teach others.
