Mrs. Stevens is so excited to be teaching 4th grade at Sugarland Elementary School! Go, Wildcats!
I grew up in the small town of Fitzgerald, Georgia. After high school, I attended undergraduate school at one of the most beautiful schools in the world, Savannah State University. There I earned bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Computer Information Systems Management. Savannah State University is where I met and married my husband, Severn. After graduation, I moved to Virginia and worked as a computer programmer for 3 years. Two years later, I moved to Japan and lived there for 13 years. While living in Japan, I attended Grand Canyon University and earned a Master's degree in Elementary Education.
My family and I relocated to Ashburn, VA in 2018 and I have been teaching at Sugarland Elementary School since 2018. I love traveling, reading, golf, trying new foods, working with children, and spending time with my 3 daughters. I am looking forward to working with your children and seeing the world through their eyes as we grow and learn from each other this year. I can be reached at Lakisha.AndersonStevens@lcps.org or call the office at the school 571-434-4460.
