Dear Banneker Community,

I am very excited to be part of the Banneker Family. I am a Virginia native but did my undergraduate studies at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee where I obtained a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education. Additionally I am certified in Middle Education Science and Education Administration. More recently, I have completed my professional learning certification for a degree in Reading. My graduate studies (Reading and Education Administration) were completed at Shenandoah University in Virginia. I spent the first part of my career teaching middle school Science. I am also bringing with me six wonderful years of experience as an Elementary School Assistant Principal in Clarke County, Virginia and more recently at Emerick ES in Purcellville.

I am so proud to be the principal at Banneker. This is my sixth year at Banneker and the schools seventy-third year of excellence. I am looking forward to continuing to connect with the community and to building strong relationships with Banneker families.
