Mrs. Marion
Mrs.Marion lives in Purcellville with her husband and two children. She loves all kinds of art, visiting museums and sitting on her front porch. She loves crafting, reading and crossword puzzles.
Mrs.Marion graduated from Savannah College of Art & Design with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Graphic Design. After working for a few years as a designer, she returned to school at George Mason University. There she earned a Masters of Art in Teaching, Art Education. Her art teaching philosophy includes a strong emphasis on critical and creative thinking. Students in her art room work to build basic art skills and fine motor skills such through cutting, coloring, folding and painting. They are encouraged to create unique solutions to art problems. Students explore artmaking through a variety of media including drawing, sculpture, ceramic clay, painting and textile arts.
Mrs.Marion has taught elementary art for 11 years. She has been working with the amazing students at Tolbert for 4 years. She is excited to see all the awesome thinking and creating that will happen in the art room this year!
