Frederick Douglass Elementary School  proudly joins Loudoun County in the Backpack Buddies Program!

Did you know that in Loudoun County alone, there are approximately 11,330 children that are food insecure?

Food insecure is the "limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe food."

What happens to these children when they go home for the weekend?

Backback Buddies helps provide food for the weekend to school children who are in need.  Each week we provide a bag filled with food for the child to take home for the weekend.

*Chef Boyardee Ravioli, Beefaroni, Spaghetti cups

*Easy Mac & Cheese cups

*small canned tuna or chicken

*individual bags - cookies, Cheez-Its, Goldfish
