Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Berg

This is Ms. Berg's 9th year teaching in Loudoun County, and her 5th year at Rock Ridge High School! Ms. Berg attended the Univeristy of Virginia where she earned her BA in English. After working in the publishing industry for a while, Ms. Berg returned to school at George Mason University where she earned her Masters in Education. Ms. Berg absolutely loves teaching, and she is so excited for the upcoming year!

She is the founder of the Ms. Phoenix Organization, self-titled Creator and Executive Director of the "Rise To Summit", and is over the moon because this year she gets to teach Women's Studiesagain, a course she created and wrote, and it is also available at 2 other high schools in the County! Ms. Phoenix meets every Thursday morning at 8:30, the second annual "Rise To Summit" will be on Saturday, March 21st at Rock Ridge, and if you have any questions about Women's Studies, or in general, just stop by room 1607!

When she is not at school, or grading papers at home, Ms. Berg likes to spend time with her husband, her crazy dog, Finley, and her daughters, Harper and Bailey, who keep life interesting, crazy, and exhausting.

She is a crazy reader, usually always reading at least 3 books at once. It is likely that she will go off on tangents about recently read books, recently viewed documentaries, and recently listened to podcasts because she is a huge nerd and lover of learning.
