Mrs. Kirsten O'Hara

My career in Loudoun County began at Farmwell Station Middle School, teaching special education; then I moved to Sully Elementary where I taught second, third, and fifth grades.  I was the Assistant Principal at Round Hill Elementary before moving to Legacy Elementary in 2019. 

My educational background includes a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Longwood College, a Master's of Education from Marymount University and an Education Specialist degree in School Administration from the University of Virginia.  

Legacy Elementary strives to prepare each child for their journey of life through academic and social-emotional growth.  Our staff prepare  our students to be Contributors, Collaborators, Critical Thinkers, Creators, and Communicators. Our teachers are committed to providing our students with a high quality learning experience focused on the individual needs of each child. We are striving to be creative and innovative in our instruction to engage students in their learning through a variety of hands-on learning opportunities, personalized learning and engaging, high-quality lessons. 

This year, we are focused on building connections with our community as we welcome all of our parents and families into our building to see the amazing work of our students and staff.  Our goal is that each parent is able to participate in a meaningful way throughout the school year.
