Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Kirsten O'Hara
My career in Loudoun County began at Farmwell Station Middle School teaching special education; then I moved to Sully Elementary where I taught second, third, and fifth grades. For the past fifteen years, I was the Assistant Principal at Round Hill Elementary. I look forward to an exciting year at Legacy Elementary!
My educational background includes a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Longwood College, a Master's of Education from Marymount University and an Education Specialist degree in School Administration from the University of Virginia.
At Legacy Elementary, our theme this year is Together, We are One! #LegacyStrong. As this year will be unlike any other year in education, we want to ensure that our students, families and staff feel engaged and part of the Legacy community. We are one community working together to achieve academic, social and emotional growth for our students. They may not start the school year in our building but all of our students are LABS for life! As we continue to build our students' academic and social growth, we aspire to teach and facilitate their learning so that each student will be a successful graduate prepared for our world today. Relationships with staff, students and families are very important to me and I look forward to building those with all of you in the weeks and months to come. I truly believe that we must work together to maintain an environment where all children can be successful. As I look to the future, I pledge to work alongside you and our staff to build a strong legacy of engaged learners.
