Welcome to 2nd Grade!
My name is Alexa Severo and I'm very excited to be teaching 2nd Grade at Sugarland Elementary this year! I've taught 2nd grade at Sugarland for nine years, Kindergarten at Sugarland for one year, and did my student teaching at Sugarland as well. I love having school spirit, Go Wildcats! I myself am from Loudoun County and graduated from Stone Bridge High School. I currently live in Sterling. I attended Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA for my Bachelors in History, with a Minor in Music. I then went to George Mason University, where I received my masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Elementary Education. My teaching philosophy revolves around teaching the student as a whole, and focusing on them becoming good citizens. Please feel free to contact me at any time. My email is alexa.severo@lcps.org.
Have a wonderful day!
Ms. Severo
A little more about me:
- I'm a huge fan of penguins and polka dots...you will be seeing a lot of those in my classroom this year.
- I LOVE football! I am a combo Comanders/Steelers/Bills fan. I also enjoy doing fantasy football.
- My favorite past time is traveling. I've been to a variety of places, including Canada, Mexico, England, France, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, and China.
