    Attention 8th graders: If you have registered with the Academy of Science to take the PSAT and HAVE NOT picked up a study guide, please see Mr. Sharp at this time.
    Leo Club will be meeting after school today in C-7.
    Just a reminder that the school store is open from 8-8:30 AM every Wednesday and Friday.
    Older Announcements:
    Battle of the Books will hold its first meeting on Thursday, October 4th. We meet every Thursday after school in the library. Please get a permission slip from the Club Bulletin Board next to House B. Bring your permission slip to the meeting on October 4th or you may bring it to the library before the first meeting. This is the 10th year for Middle School Battle of the Books. We want to be serious competitors. You must commit to read at least 3 of the 4 books. The books this year are Iron Trial, Wolf Hollow, Great Greene Heist, and Running Dream. We hope that you will join us!
    The "You Be the Chemist" club will hold its first meeting after school next Thursday, September 27th in room A-5. All club meetings will be held on Thursdays.The purpose of this club is to prepare students for the district competition that will be held later this school year. Eagle Ridge has always done well at these competitions, and we expect that this year we will continue to be strong contenders! See your science teacher for more information.
    Inviting all boys and girls interested in wrestling! There will be an interest meeting w/ a presentation in the cafeteria about the Eagle Ridge wrestling team on Wednesday September 26th at 2:45pm. You will watch highlight videos and receive information about the coming season. Come & find out why so many athletes love REAL wrestling!
    Registration for the 2019 Math Kangaroo Contest is now open. Interested students, please ask your parents to register as soon as possible as there are only limited seats.     Attention all students interested in jazz band- commitment forms are now available on the bulletin board by the band room. Auditions will take place at the end of October and music for auditions will be available on October 1st. Please see Ms. Vaeth for additional information. Commitment forms are due on October 3rd.
    Attention 8 graders: The last day to apply to Thomas Jefferson High School is Friday, September 28th at 4:00pm. Do not wait until the last minute.
    Attention students running for Student Council: We will be recording election speeches this Wednesday and Thursday in Computer Lab 1 after school. See Ms. Cruickshank to sign up for a time slot. Make sure you come prepared with your 30 second speech!
