    New Announcements 

    The PBIS Committee is proud to announce next week's prize of the week: eat lunch in the courtyard with two friends! Bring 12 tickets to the cafeteria next Thursday for PBIS Prize Redemption Day and you can eat lunch in the courtyard with two friends next Friday! Please note: you can NOT combine tickets for this prize!


    The first “You Be the Chemist” meeting will be held next Thursday, September 26th, after school in room A5. The purpose of the club is to prepare for the annual county-wide Chemistry Bee competition. During club meetings, we will review science concepts through fun activities and learning-style games. Club forms can be picked up at any of the House offices. See your science teacher for additional information. This is a great opportunity to hang out with other students who enjoy science and competition. Hope to see you there!


    Attention all students interested in joining the ERMS jazz bands- jazz interest and practice sessions are happening NOW on Tuesday/Thursday mornings from 7:30-8:20am. Please come if you want help learning how to play jazz or want help preparing for auditions.  



    Serving 3rd through 8th graders living in the Trailside, Stone Hill, Eagle Ridge, Belmont Ridge and Brambleton Middle School Boundaries, as well as 9-12th graders (both Boys and Girls) in the Rock Ridge, Briar Woods, Stone Bridge, Riverside and Independence High School boundaries.AYBL is a 501c3 youth basketball organization run by volunteers that operates in coordination with the Loudoun ...

     Older Announcements

     All Eagle Ridge students are invited to try out for MATHCOUNTS. MATHCOUNTS is an after school enrichment program for students who have a desire to challenge themselves mathematically. Top students will be invited to participate in the MATHCOUNTS Competition Program, 
    The first MATHCOUNTS meeting will be held on Friday, September 27th. The club will meet every Friday afternoon from 3:30 - 5:30 in the library. There are NO afterschool activity buses on Fridays, so students are responsible for arranging their own transportation home at 5:30. Please bring the completed special MATHCOUNTS permission slip with you to the first club meeting. You can find the special MATHCOUNTS permission slip on the MATHCOUNTS page on the Eagle Ridge website.


    Interested in learning how to play jazz music? Wanting to join the ERMS jazz bands? Come out to our jazz help sessions on Tuesday/Thursday mornings, 7:30-8:30am, starting September 17th until October 3rd. We'll learn about jazz styles and help students prepare for jazz band auditions. All band instruments are welcome, as well as piano, guitar, bass guitar, and drum set. Please see Mrs. McNamee or Mr. Pazanowski with any questions.  


    Want to be part of one of the funnest and fastest growing clubs at Eagle Ridge Middle School? Join the second year running ERMS basketball club! It is open to all students 6th - 8th grade. The basketball club will meet on Wednesdays, Sept 11th thru November 13th, from 3:30-4:20. See Mr. Miles or Mr. O’Hara for permission forms. Don’t delay, space is limited and will fill up fast. You don’t want to miss out!


    "Interested in public speaking? Want better persuasion skills? If so, come to Speech and Debate Club. Meetings will he held every other Friday from 6-7pm in the auditorium, and will feature information about the various forms of debate, tips and techniques, as well as drills and practices. Meetings will begin on September 6. We hope to see you there!"


     Attention 7th and 8th graders are you interested in learning how to sew? Well do we have a club for you! The Sewing club will meet on thre first and third Thursday of each month starting in October. Sewing machines will be provided but club members will need to bring their own materials. Please see Ms Newport or Ms Davis for more information. 



    Attention 8th graders: The deadline to register for the TJ admission test is next week, Friday, September 27th at 4:00pm. The deadline for AOS and AET is Oct. 18th.
