     Key responsibilities:

    The Division of Planning Services develops student enrollment projections, facilitates the school attendance zone change process, prepares the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), coordinates school site acquisition, and provides demographic and geographic information relating to Loudoun's public school population.

    The Loudoun County School Board is soliciting site proposals for a middle school (MS-14) in the Dulles area. The preferred location for this school is within the area between Route 267/Dulles Greenway on the north, Route 50/John Mosby Highway to the south, Route 606/Loudoun County Parkway to the east, and Route 860/Watson Road and Route 621/Evergreen Mills Road to the west, within the County Suburban and Transition Planning Policy Areas. A map of the preferred area is available on the Loudoun County Public Schools website (www.lcps.org, utilize the ‘Planning/School Attendance Zones – Land Search’ quick link). The School Board prefers sites of approximately 35 acres of usable land for a middle school. Acreage may increase or decrease depending on utility availability and site characteristics.

     Prospective sellers should include the following information: property location map, plat or recent survey, site size, floodplain map, existing easements, setback and buffer areas, topographic plats, utility availability, known environmental conditions, copy of the deed, site purchase price and a photograph(s) of the site.
