  • Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) is an evidenced-based approach for creating a common vision of behavioral expectations through consistent language and practices among staff and students. PBIS is a framework of tiered supports to address the needs of ALL the members of the school community.

The Loudoun County Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) Coordination team, through training and technical assistance, supports schools and alternative placement settings in creating and sustaining comprehensive systems which promote the academic, social and emotional well-being of all Loudoun County Public school students.

Our goal is to ensure that all PBIS schools have the necessary technical assistance, collaborative opportunities, and evaluative tools needed to implement PBIS with fidelity in non-classroom, and classroom areas; to address the targeted needs of individual students, while providing support to teachers, students and families.

For more information on PBIS, please contact Stefanie LaPolla, Behavior Support Coordinator, at Stefanie.LaPolla@lcps.org.
