    The Office of Student Services provides oversight for school counseling, health, attendance, registration, outreach, special permission, substance use prevention and education, homebound services, McKinney Vento, and school social services to facilitate an educational program that is tailored to individual student needs. Data collection and auditing for VDOE reporting and the annual publication of the “Student Rights and Responsibilities” are also essential services of the office.

    The mission of Student Health Services is to foster growth, development, and educational achievement of all LCPS students by advocating and promoting health and wellness in a safe and supportive environment.

    The mission of the Special Permission staff is to process special permission, homeschool, religious exemptions, tuition students, and move in/move out applications in an efficient manner based on school board policy.

  • Outreach Services

    Our mission is to support parent liaisons, interpreters, and the community school initiative and connect students and families to the school community. We also connect with community and business partners to identify resources that will help all students achieve educational success.

    Our mission is to promote and enhance student success by supporting a comprehensive school counseling program. We support the academic, social/emotional, and college readiness for LCPS students.

  • Student Support Services

    Our mission is to help parents, students, and school staff identify physical and mental health needs that interfere with learning. SSS staff work with all stakeholders to identify the resources and services students need to succeed. Social Workers also work with general and special education students and their families to resolve social, emotional, and behavioral barriers.
