•        Greetings! My name is Alysia Brown and I am ecstatic to be returning for my 11th year as  Forest Grove's fulltime school counselor. I am excited to continue to work with the students, parents, and faculty here at Forest Grove! I am also eager to get to know and work with all the new students, parents, and staff that will be joining us this school year!
I grew up in Sterling and attended LCPS, proudly graduating from Broad Run High School. I received a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Radford University and a Masters in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech. Prior to beginning my career at Forest Grove; I worked for many years with Fairfax County Department of Family Services assisting individuals and families with obtaining public benefits and other community services.
When I am not at Forest Grove, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our daughter, son, our beagles, family, and friends. I also enjoy running, baking, traveling to the beach (my happy place) and I love a good brunch!! ;)

Again, I am so happy to be returning to the "Grove"! I look forward to another wonderful and successful school year at Forest Grove!
