• Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

     

    Welcome!   I am currently in my 15th year of teaching at Countryside Elementary. I love the students and staff here and truly believe that Countryside is the place to be!  

     

    I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in December of 2001.  I taught preschool and full day kindergarten in Iowa before moving to Virginia in 2004. I've taught fifth grade and kindergarten at Countryside since!

     

    My philosophy of teaching is simple.  I believe that students should have many opportunities to learn and should be taught using a variety of teaching strategies in order to reach all types of learners.   I offer many different approaches on a daily basis.
