If your child is currently attending LCPS (grades KG-11), you will NOT need to "re-register" or "pre-register" your child for the 2016-17 or 2017-18 school year.
2016-17 Kindergarten information: Virginia law requires that your child be 5 years old by September 30, 2016 to register and attend public kindergarten.
2017-18 Kindergarten Registration Kick-off day will be March 29, 2017.

2017-2018 Registration Information--1st Day of School is August 24, 2017
The online pre-registration portal is now open for the 2017-18 school year. Please see below for the link. This is only a pre-registration and you will still be required to schedule a registration appointment to appear in person at the school. Once you've submitted your child's pre-registration, please contact your school during school hours for an appointment. Elementary appointments will start March 29th. For Middle and High schools, please contact the school for appointment dates. A Parent Registration Checklist along with paper versions of all required registration paperwork is also available below or Kindergarten registration packets will be available soon at your elementary school.
You will have 2 options available when registering your student for the 2016-17 school year and 2017-18 school year! Be sure to select the correct year during the online pre-registration process.
1) An online Pre-registration process is now open for NEW STUDENTS for the 2016-17 school year and will open February 10th for the 2017-18 school year.
*If you are a parent of a current LCPS student, you will use your ParentVue account log in to access the online Pre-Registration portal. If you have not activated your ParentVue account, please contact your child's school for your activation key and directions. You do not need to re-register current LCPS students.
*New families will create their account from the online Pre-Registration portal. You can access the online Pre-Registration portal link here for NEW school year registrations. Please make sure that you select the correct 2016-2017 or 2017-18 school year.

Registration appointments for grades KG-12 will be accepted by contacting your school once the pre-registration is complete and you are residing in Loudoun County. Contact your school for available appointment options. Registrations will not be finalized until all documentation has been accepted in person by the school.
2) 2016-17 printable forms are available below or available to pick up at your school. Once complete, you can contact your school for a registration appointment.

Documents Needed for Registration in Loudoun County Public Schools
o Name of the parent registering the child must be on the birth certificate
o Photo identification of the parent/guardian registering the child
o Cards with name and age of the student are not sufficient proof of the identification of the person enrolling the student
o If the student has had a name change due to adoption or other reasons, the school must have a signed copy of the court order acknowledging the change
o For Parents/Guardians Residing in Loudoun County
- A signed lease, signed deed, signed settlement papers, recent mortgage statement, or deed of trust
- If the parent/guardian enrolling the student is sharing a home with another resident of Loudoun County,
· The parent/guardian must obtain the signature of the person who owns or rents the residence
· The owner/tenant must provide proof of residency by submitting a signed lease, signed deed, signed settlement papers, recent mortgage statement, or deed of trust
o In addition, the enrolling parent/guardian may be asked to produce the following documents to verify the address: motor vehicle registration, voter registration card, bank statement (not checks) within the past two months, state or federal income tax records, W-2 form, or utility bills within the past two months
