Kindergarten Teacher
Hi there! My name is Mrs. Burnheimer and I am very excited to embark on my 14th year here at Liberty! My very first group of Kinders that I taught back in 2010 will be high school seniors this year!I graduated in 2009 from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and concentrations in English and Special Education. In June of 2013, I graduated from George Mason University with a Masters in Education in the Initiatives in Educational Transformations (IET) program.I am originally from Pennsylvania, making me a huge STEELERS FAN. However, I grew up here in Northern Virginia (but I'm still a PA girl at heart). When I’m not teaching, I enjoy hiking with my family, reading, traveling, paddleboarding, hanging out with family & friends, watching football and attending Broadway musicals!
My husband and I were married in 2021 and we had our baby girl in 2022. We are expecting a baby boy in late January 2024.I come from a huge family (see picture below) and something interesting about me is that I am a triplet and I love to spend time with my two triplet brothers! Growing up, I absolutely loved working with children and I am so happy to be doing what I love each day in the classroom. Teaching is my passion! We are going to have a great year in Kindergarten and I can't wait to meet some of Liberty's youngest students!*Please do not hesitate to email me with any questions, comments or concerns (click on my name above)---Our daughter, Brooklynn Sky, is 15 months old!Yosemite National Park with my two brothers!Siblings x7 (including my sister, Mrs. Roivas - 4th grade teacher here at Liberty!)--------------------------------------------------------Kindergarten AssistantHi all! My name is Kandy Ryan, and this is my second year as a kindergarten assistant at Liberty Elementary. I have substituted at different elementary schools throughout Loudoun County for the past nine years and have always had the most fun in Kindergarten….
Outside of school, I am a wife and a mom to three wonderful children and two pups. My kids are grown up and spread out, but I love spending time with them and visiting them whenever possible. On the weekends, my husband and I can usually be found taking the dogs on an adventure or at home cheering on my Tigers or his Midshipman in whatever sport is in season (college football is my favorite).
I cannot wait to meet you all and am looking forward to a great year.
