Hi!  My name is Mrs. Masters and I love being a kindergarten teacher here at Liberty!  Liberty is a beautiful school and I am sure everyone is going to have a fantastic year.
I began my teaching career in 1991 in Fairfax County Public Schools.  I taught for nine years, teaching first grade, second grade, and special education preschool.  In the year 2000, I decided to be a stay- at-home mom for my two sons, Jack and Sam.  Jack is now 24 years old and is currently serving in the United States Coast Guard in Kodiak, Alaska.  Sam is 20 years old and is a junior at the University of Lynchburg.
I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  Several years later, I completed my Masters in Special Education from George Mason University.  I have been a South Riding resident for 25 years and love being a part of this very special community.  This is my 15th year teaching Kindergarten at Liberty.
My family and I enjoy many activities together, such as hiking and traveling.  I enjoy reading, cooking, doing projects around the house, and rummaging through flea markets.  We have another family member as well, our dog Rosco who is the best dog ever!

I look forward to another wonderful year at Liberty!

Hello!  My name is Holley Owings and this will be my 6th year as a Kindergarten Assistant at Liberty and my first year with Mrs. Masters.  However, both of my children had Mrs. Masters as their Kindergarten Teacher, so your children are in excellent hands!  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) and a Master’s Degree in Information Management from Marymount University.  My husband and I live in South Riding with our two daughters.  We spend most of our free time at sporting events.  My daughters both swim and play soccer and I am the JV Assistant Soccer Coach at Freedom High School.  I am looking forward to meeting you.  We are going to have a fantastic year!
