the hunter family
My name is Amelia Hunter and I am thrilled to be back at Liberty for another year in 1st grade! I have been teaching at Liberty since we opened in 2008...where has the time gone?! I taught 2nd grade for 5 years (when I was Miss Ebel), and this will be my 4th year teaching first! For the past 3 summers, I have been one of the co-directors of Liberty's own STEMmerweek!
I graduated from The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Elementary Education. GO TRIBE! In 2012, I graduated from George Mason with my M.Ed in Special Education. What can I say? I just like the colors green & gold!
I am originally from Connecticut, so I am a HUGE New England Patriots football fan! I have been married to my wonderful husband Alex for 2 years, and we live in Ashburn with our loveable goldendoodle Brady. I call him the BFG (big friendly giant) because he is 80 lbs. of golden fluff! Alex & I love to take Brady for walks, hike, visit the beach, and spend time with our families. On Saturdays, we watch Michigan football, and on Sundays we watch the Pats. I also love to run and read!
If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to email me. I look forward to working with you and your students!
