• Liberty Birthday Policy

The teachers of Liberty Elementary developed "norms" that we as a staff will abide by. One norm that we feel is very important involves bringing birthday treats to school. We decided that in order to protect those children with severe allergies as well as protect the instructional day, we are asking parents to refrain form bringing edible birthday treats (cakes, cupcakes, ice cream, candies, chips, etc.). We feel that it is important to recognize a child's special day, and are asking that you consider doing so in this fashion. Please consider purchasing a book for the classroom library in your child's name. We would love to have you visit the class and perhaps read the book to the students. Imagine the look of pride and admiration on your child's face as you visit his/her class and read a book in his/her honor! Birthdays will also be recognized during the Liberty Morning Show.

If you are having a birthday party outside of the school day and wish to give out invitations, we only ask that each child in the class receive the invitation, and we will gladly pass out the invites at the end of the school day. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
