After having graduated Magna Cum Laude from James Madison University (GO DUKES!!!) in 2001, I began my career in Loudoun County and taught middle school for four years.  This is my seventeenth year at Broad Run and during my tenure, I earned my Masters in Music from George Mason University (GO PATRIOTS!!!).  In 2012, I achieved National Board Certification - the first Choral Director in Loudoun County Public Schools to do so.  A few years ago, I also completed the certification for Health and Physical Education.  I am also a current member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), American/Virginia Choral Directors Associations (ACDA/VCDA), National/Virginia Education Associations (NEA/VEA), Loudoun Education Association (LEA), Phi Kappa Phi, and a lifetime member of Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI).

This year, I am teaching 3 sections of Chorus, 1 section of Health and Physical Education 9, and 1 section of Yoga.  I also serve as the BRHS Fine Arts Department Chair and have enjoyed being a part of the Ashburn community.  In my free time, I like to travel, sing ,walk, hike and practice yoga, as well as hang out with my kindergartner son and fourth grade daughter.
