All about Ms. Worthington
Jennifer Worthington is beginning her incredible 25th year of teaching elementary music in Loudoun County! She opened Arcola Elementary as one of the inaugural staff in 2007, and before that, she taught at Emerick Elementary in Purcellville. She is originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of West Chester University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education with a concentration in voice and horn and a minor in dance, a certification in Orff-Schulwerk, and a Masters of Education in Administration.
Ms. Worthington's love of music extends to all areas of her life, from directing the afterschool drama club at Arcola, to directing the children's theatre, Summer on the Stage. She is also the founder and director of the Stone Springs Showmakers, a children's theatre ensemble sponsored by the Arcola PTA. In the evenings and on the weekends, she teaches ballet, tap, and musical theatre, as well as choreographs award-winning dances for Studio Bleu Dance Center. Jennifer also plays handbells, horn, and sings soprano in the choir at Arcola United Methodist Church.
Ms. Worthington is a ginormous Disney fan, and a licensed Disney travel agent. She and her three daughters travel to Disney whenever they can, and they sometimes even bring their dog, Bentley along to meet Pluto!
