Mrs. Judi Bullion

Welcome to the 2018 - 2019 School Year.

Hi everyone.  My name is Mrs. Judith Bullion and I will be teaching 3rd grade this year at Sycolin Creek Elementary.  This is my sixteenth year teaching for Loudoun County Public Schools and my 21th year of teaching.  I have taught in Kindergarten (for 1 year), in First grade (for 2 years), in Second Grade (for 5 years), in Third Grade (13 years).  I am originally from Newport News, Virginia (located approximately 10 miles from Williamsburg, Va.).  I attended Christopher Newport University, in Newport News, where I received my BA in English and my Elementary Teaching Certificate.  I am married to Michael Bullion, who teaches Social Studies at Woodgrove High School.  We will be celebrating our 38th anniversary this year..  I have two daughters, Meghan, is a graduate of James Madison University and Madeline, is a guaduate of Radford University .  My family and I live in Stephens City, Virginia.  I know that Third grade will be challenging and I look forward to all that it has to offer to my students and me.  Together we will find success in all that we do.

This is a year of important transitions, as well as one in which new skills are acquired.  Not only will you continue with your resources/specials (P.E, Music, Art and Computer Lab) but your will be learning about Ancient Rome, Greece, and Mali and their contributions to history.  Math this year will include multiplication and division along with many other skills.  In science, some of the topics you will study will include matter, water cycle, resources, etc.  Of course we still will be doing reading, language arts and we will learn cursive.  I know that this year will be a fun and exciting one.

This year we will have our Back-to-School Night for Grades 1-3 on Tuesday, August 21st – 6:00 pm and our Open House for Grades 1-5  on Wednesday, August 22nd from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.

I look forward to seeing everyone in August.  If ever you need to contact me, my school e-mail address is jbullion@lcps.org.

                                                          Sincerely,

                                                          Judi Bullion
