    I grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland, and graduated from the University of Maryland. I am entering my 16th year of teaching, and I started out as a substitute teacher here at Broad Run then was hired as a full-time English teacher. I have not worked at any other high school, and I have no desire to do so.  Broad Run is my second family. I live in the Ashburn area and have a daughter and a son who both graduated from Broad Run. We are clearly a Spartan family. My daughter is currently starting her first year of teaching in Loudoun County, and my son is a 4th year at UVA studying Mechanical Engineering. This year is definitely going to be different; however, I am confident that if we all work together, we can have a successful year!
