    I grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland, and graduated from the University of Maryland. I am entering my 19th year of teaching. I started out as a substitute teacher here at Broad Run, then was hired as a full-time English teacher. I have not worked at any other high school, and I have no desire to do so. Broad Run is my second family. I live in the Ashburn area and have a daughter and a son who both graduated from Broad Run, and we also have a black lab mix named Joy. I am looking forward to being back in the building, and I am confident that if we all work together, we can have a successful year!
