    Meet Ms. Daquilante

Ms. Daquilante (Da-quill-lawn-tay) is excited to be teaching third grade at Waterford Elementary School!  She began her teaching career 16 years ago with Frederick County Public Schools in Virginia and has spent the last 7 years teaching some amazing third-graders. Ms. Daquilante taught at Madison’s Trust Elementary School in Loudoun County before joining the Waterford school community. She also has experience in 4th grade, collaborating in co-teaching classrooms, and engaging students in distance learning!

Ms. Daquilante is a West Virginia University Alumni where she got her Master’s degree in Elementary Education and a specialization in English.  She is a teacher consultant as part of the Shenandoah Valley Writing Project. She loves to learn and believes teachers are lifelong learners so she recently finished a Reading Specialist certificate from Shenandoah University.

She makes her home in the western part of Virginia with her husband, Daniel, and baby girl, Emilia. She treasures time with family and friends.  Ms. Daquilante’s favorite part of her job is building positive relationships with students and families and she strives to create a welcoming and safe classroom environment. She is grateful to be a Waterford Mountain Lion and looks forward to a truly exceptional school year!
