• “Making a difference… one student at a time!”

Entrusted with the welfare of our community’s children, Sugarland Elementary School endeavors to create a safe and comfortable learning environment which encourages students to make positive choices.  The people within the school community work together to foster the development of creative problem solvers, effective communicators, and critical thinkers in order to build life-long learners and successful citizens.

The philosophy of Sugarland Elementary School is based on the concept that education is a life-long process in which the school plays an integral part.  The atmosphere of the school should be one in which each child receives a maximum opportunity for development of basic skills, positive attitudes, and good habits which foster a knowledge and understanding of himself/herself, others, and society in general.  Each child must be prepared to meet situations in school and life in an effective, intelligent, and confident manner.
