I am originally from Doylestown, which is located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Bucks County, Pennsylvania  is about an hour and twenty minutes northeast of Philadelphia. I attended East Stroudsburg University where I received a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and I also went back to East Stroudsburg University to earn a Masters Degree in Special Education.
I taught for nine years in Pennsylvania before meeting my husband Gary, who was in the United States Air Force. After we got married in 1995, we traveled to several different states. Several of the states we lived in and I also taught in were New Hampshire, Nebraska, Alabama, Virginia (our first time here 2000-2003-we lived in Lorton, VA), Massachusetts and our last and final move was when Gary retired from the Air Force as Lt.Col and we moved back to Loudoun County, Virginia.
Our nine-year-old twins, Jakob and Hannah, were born in Nebraska. I took a leave from teaching to stay home with them. I thoroughly enjoyed the six and half years I stayed home with them and prepared for all our moves across the country:)
I joined the faculty at Seldens Landing in January of 2010. I feel truly blessed to be part of such a supportive school community.
    Yours Truly,
    Mrs. Kimberly Ashworth
