Welcome to Our Class

It is my pleasure to welcome you and your child to fourth grade.  Your child is embarking upon an exciting journey through 4th grade as one of Mrs. Jewell's gems. I am so glad that your child will have a chance to sparkle and shine in my class this year! This year promises to be one of innovative learning with positive, successful experiences.  Your child will develop more independence along with greater responsibilities in preparation for his or her transition to fifth grade and beyond.  

I encourage all students to be the best they can be.  I believe that this is their education and I like to give them some voice and choice to explore things that interest them.  I start and end the year with the philosophy that this is the only time they will be this age, so I do my best to make their experience challenging, fun, and memorable. 

I invite and encourage you to be an active participant in your child’s education.   I wish to establish an open line of communication with you. I will use email, the Remind app, and our 4th-grade webpage to help you stay informed about what is happening in the classroom.
