Mrs. Julie Rizalvo
My name is Julie Rizalvo, and I am very excited to continue as your Instructional Facilitator for Technology at Potowmack!
I grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA and love to travel back there to visit my family (and also so I can be around other EAGLES and Phillies' Fans without being teased). I started my teaching career in 2001 in Prince George's County, MD with 1st grade. I then moved on to 2nd grade, where I stayed (because it's the best) until I became a TRT in 2014. I have had the pleasure of working at Evergreen Mill ES, Little River ES and I opened Buffalo Trail ES in 2010.
I loved introducing my students to new ways to learn and show their knowledge using the fun technology we have in our schools. Now I get the opportunity to help the teachers and students at Potowmack do the same. What could be better?!
When I am not at work, my husband Jon and I are kept quite busy with our children, Leah, who attends Emerick Elementary School, and our 6th Grader, Lucas who attends Blue Ridge Middle School in Purcellville. We spend a ridiculous (-ly wonderful) amount of time on the baseball field and field hockey field.
