Although I was born and raised in Maryland, I now consider myself a Virginian. My husband David and I have lived here in Cascades for over 25 years where we raised our two children. In fact, my children went to school here at Potowmack Elementary!!
I have a B.S. from the University of Maryland, a Masters degree from George Mason University, and a Masters of Education from Shenandoah University. I started my career with Loudoun County Public Schools as a parent volunteer when my son started kindergarten. I then became a substitute teacher, a job I thoroughly enjoyed for over a decade. Now, this will be my tenth year in our 1st Grade classroom.
When not having fun at school, I like to read, garden, and play with our dog Penny. You will probably notice quickly that I love music and often have a song playing in my head. And where there is music, there may be dancing.
