My name is Janie Gaudens. This is my 19^th year of teaching first grade at Potowmack Elementary.  I love the Potowmack school family so much that I drive one hour each way just to be at this special place.

I have taught first grade children for 20 years. Other assignments have included second and third grade positions in public and private school settings.  I was also a creative writing teacher for grades 1-6.

I was born and raised in Steubenville, Ohio.  I received a Bachelor of Science degree and completed all graduate coursework in Elementary Education.

During school breaks, I enjoy traveling.  I am an avid sports fan and in my spare time, I enjoy watching sports on TV and attending sporting events.  I am proud to be a part of Potowmack Elementary and I look forward to another wonderful year!
