Welcome to Spartan Early Learning Center!Registration for the 2018-2019 preschool year is open.Your child's completed registration form, a copy of his/her immunization records, photograph (candid, home printed is fine), and your check for $350 may be dropped off or mailed to Broad Run High School, Attn: Nancy Woods, Spartan Center. Incomplete registrations will be returned. We will not cash your check if we don't have a spot for your child. Please make checks payable to Spartan Center, BRHS.Spartan Early Learning Center is the lab preschool at Broad Run High School. High school students interested in working with children or exploring a career in education enroll in Early Childhood classes. Under the direction of a licensed teacher, teens design and implement creative and engaging lessons that include kindergarten readiness skills - skills children need to be successful in kindergarten.
For the 2017-2018 School year: Preschool is two days per week on an alternating day basis (one week--Monday/Wednesday, then Tuesday/Thursday the next week.) The preschool year is October-May. Start time for the preschool is 1:10, pick up is at 3:45.
Your child must have turned three years old by March 31, 2018 to enroll for Fall 2018-2019. Scroll down to see detailed school closing information in RED.
There is a $350 non-refundable fee for supplies. This fee is payable with your registration form. There are no other fees. The supply fee covers all supplies and materials, a healthy snack each preschool day, and one field trip.
To register, you must submit a completed registration form (available from our website in mid-February), a copy of your child’s vaccination records, a photo of your child, and the supply fee (checks payable to Spartan Center, BRHS). The supply fee is non-refundable. We will not cash your check if we do not have a space for your child.
Points to Keep in Mind:Please make sure your child is well rested before arriving at Spartan Center.Spartan Center will not dispense medications.An up-to-date immunization record is required, as well as medical and insurance information.All Spartan Center preschoolers must be self-toileting. If a “potty” accident occurs, you will be called to pick up your child.A healthy snack is be provided.If your child is not feeling well, please allow him/her to stay at home.During inclement weather: if Loudoun County Public Schools are closed,Spartan Center is closed.Two-hour delays CANCEL all preschool classes.Spartan Center will be closed during all school holidays, during a planning week in January, and if the high block schedule is re-ordered for a special event.
