I am thrilled to be part of the third grade team at Frederick Douglass Elementary School! Teaching children is a true passion for me as you will notice throughout the year with my lessons and activities. The following is a little information regarding my educational background.

I graduated with my masters from Marymount University. Upon graduating, I worked as an elementary school teacher in Fairfax County for first, second, and third grade. I later moved with my family out to Loudoun where I took a job as a third grade teacher. I then took off some time to raise my children until they were both in full time elementary school. I returned to teaching at Lowes Island Elementary in Sterling, Virginia. It was a wonderful experience. Overall, I have taught for more than 20 years and have enjoyed every minute of it.
I am fortunate to have two wonderful boys who attend  school in Loudoun County.  I have a junior and senior in highschool. My husband is also part of Loudoun County. He is the principal for Riverside High School.
I am very excited to be teaching third grade again at Frederick Douglass Elementary. I look forward to meeting everyone very soon!
