I am thrilled to be part of the third grade team at Frederick Douglass Elementary School! Teaching children is a true passion for me, as you will notice throughout the year with my lessons and activities. The following is a little information regarding my educational background.

I graduated with my masters from Marymount University. Upon graduating, I worked as an elementary school teacher in Fairfax County for first, second, and third grade. I later moved with my family out to Loudoun where I took a job as a third grade teacher. I then took off some time to raise my children until they were both in full-time elementary school. I returned to teaching and  eventually came to Frederick Douglass. Overall, I have taught for more than 20 years and have enjoyed every minute of it.

I am fortunate to have two wonderful boys who both attend college. Hale goes to JMU and Cole attends USC.  My husband is also part of Loudoun County. He is the principal at Riverside High School.

I am very excited to be teaching third grade again at Frederick Douglass Elementary. I look forward to meeting everyone very soon!
