        Fourth Grade
    Mrs. McInnis

I am very excited to begin another school year!  Here is a little bit about me. I graduated from Virginia Tech, and then received my Master’s Degree from George Mason. I am entering my 36th year of teaching, having also taught for Norfolk Public Schools and Prince William County Schools.  This is my 26th year in Loudoun County, and my 21st year at Lowes Island Elementary.
I enjoy living in the Lowes Island neighborhood.  I have 3 sons who have gone through Lowes Island, Seneca Ridge, and Dominion. Two of them have graduated from college and have started their careers, and my youngest is a senior at James Madison University.
Fourth grade will be truly exciting for your children. One of my favorite parts of the fourth grade curriculum is Virginia Studies.  I know that you and your child will enjoy learning many wonderful and interesting things about our beautiful state.  We will be reading and writing each and every day in school. I am looking forward to working together this year to create motivated, responsible, respectful, and successful learners in all subject areas.
