Hope you enjoyed your summer! This is my 16th year of teaching in the Loudoun County School system and my 13th  in third grade. Prior to teaching in Loudoun, I  taught for 6 years in Iowa in grades ranging from first through six.  I  graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor of Science Degree in elementary education and have graduate credits in special education courses. In addition, I have my masters in reading.
I am excited to work with your child! I believe every child has strengths and is an important member of the class. Fair is not every child getting the same thing but rather getting what he/she needs to be successsful. We will work together in a safe, positive learning environment  and learn from each other.
Currently, I reside in Ashburn with my husband. My daughter Jessica graduated from George Mason University and is living in Maryland with her lab Murphy. My son Tyler, a VA Tech graduate, works in IT consulting and lives in Boston cheering for the Celtics. My husband works at Stryker in Leesburg. Hiking and reading are two of my favorite pasttimes. I look forward to teaching another year at Lowes Island.
