• Our school's Health Clinic:
      • Health Clinic Specialist (HCS) - Sharon Carcciolo
      • The clinic is open every day from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
      • The HCS is supervised by a Registered Nurse who visits the school regularly.

    • If your child has any significant medical needs, please notify the HCS even if the school has been notified in previous school years. If your child has asthma, diabetes, seizures, life-threatening allergies or other medical conditions you should pick up forms for your physician to complete so the school can understand and address your child's needs.

    • A parent or guardian must deliver any medicine (prescription or non-prescription) to the school office or clinic. Students may not transport any medicine to or from school.

    • All prescription medicine must be in the original pharmacy bottle with the proper label containing the student's name, medication, dosage, and instructions for administration. If you ask, the pharmacy will give you an extra bottle with the proper amount of medicine for school.

    • If the clinic needs to give non-prescription medicine,
      • it must be in an original package with the name of the medicine and instructions
      • it must have a note from the parent regarding when and how much medicine to administer
      • the HCS will only give the amount listed on the package for your child's age and weight for the recommended length of time the student should receive the medicine unless a doctor's orders indicates differently
      • the HCS cannot administer medicine that is not in its original container

    • Children who have fevers should be kept at home until free of fever for 24 hours.

    • Be sure to keep the "Emergency Information" up-to-date so that we can reach you if your child is ill or injured.

    • All 3rd graders and students new to Loudoun County Public Schools will be screened for vision and hearing during the first two months of school. Kindergarten students who did not have distance vision screening or hearing tests with audiometers reported on their School Entrance Physical Examination form will also be screened.
